here is the crossing now, go forward one and you will find the old concrete blocks are still in place.

Well that one group of trees on the left side of the road (in the background) has sure grown the last 70 years! Pretty neat that at least one part of the old relic is still around.

It would be awesome if there was a video... more like an old movie... of that thing in action.

Looks quite a bit worse for the wear... rusted, faded paint, plus it looks like a truck smashed into it too. Looks even creepier than it did originally.

In the comments section for the other photo, someone said that the signal laid in the ditch for years after it was taken down.

With the exception of the light heads being replaced with 12 inchers recently... I'm sure those "new" signals being installed in that picture are the same ones there today.

I believe it was at one time or another... but it was quite awhile back and would require some digging to find it again.

I don't think it hurts to post things like this again... especially for the newer members who maybe did not see that older post.
