Might be interesting to keep a list going of crossings we find that only have a bell yet as a warning device.

Here's a couple I just tripped over to start things out.

there's a crossing in Dover Massachusetts that has no lights, but a WRRS mini bell. The crossing HAD 8" lights in the past, but bees got into the lenses and the railroad removed the lights. The line doesn't get much usage anymore.

The C&NW used to do that on their line northwest from Madison to Reedsburg (and before 1987, Elroy and Camp Douglas). IIRC, all of those have been downgraded to completely passive crossings now. I heard some scuttlebutt somewhere to the effect that their may still be one like that on the (now UP) Adams Subdivision main.

Two in St. Louis, MO, both on the UP line along the Mississippi. One was on Mott Street, can't remember the other one. Mott Street has two m-bells, the other a WCH e-bell, but used to have an m-bell.

It was north of Dalton, I saw it in 2004. I don't know if it's still there though.

There was one near Mercer, MO on UP's Trenton Sub quite a few years ago...I'd driven past in on a road trip back in 2003. It was on a gravel road but the crossing was right next to Highway 65 because of the proximity of the tracks to the highway from North of Mercer to Lineville, IA.

There is one on the Little Rock and Western in little Rock,AR.I'll get video of it.

Looks as though it's been updated to an e-bell of some sort now from when I had driven past it.

Here's a real dumb setup in Eastern Arizona. Two warning signs, one bell. No crossbucks or lights or gates.
