WCH 3590 Gate Mech Working OK

I had been pulling my hair out trying to figure out the wiring inside my WCH 3590 mech. Small world though. My brother met a guy at a church cookout that had a son who does signal maintenaince. Turns out this guy works in the shop I work at Tyndall AFB. I see him everyday but had no idea. I gave him my number to give to his son. No sooner than I get home from work I get a call from his son Brad. He said he would be over within an hour. Sure enough in less than an hour here comes a big service truck down the drive way with a Operation Lifesaver "Always expect a Train" tag on the front bumper.

Brad gets out and introduces himelf and then introduces his co-worker Rich Owens. Way down here in Panama City. Small world. They had my wiring problem figured out within 30 min.

Thanks Kody - Yes I have two switches. One for the lights and bell, and the other for the gate mech. Power is provided by a 12 volt battery in the shed. There is a battery tender that keeps a float charge on the battery. There is 12 volts applied to the mech at all times. The switch for the gate mech, when turned off, cuts the 12 volt power which releases the hold clear and starts the down process.
