Additions to E-bells

I was taking the Pasadena Gold Line today and noticed some strange flanges on the E-Bells that pepper some of the crossings along the route. These flanges, I am assuming, block and/or redirect the sound of the ringing bells. I saw them on some of the Safetran bells and I just found the flanges on this WCH E-bell. How long have these been around?

Those bells are unknown WCH e-bell mimicks. We have yet to find who develops it.

I doubt those are new models. Probably railroad/city added to help keep the noise contained.

Standard WCH e-bell just got the flanges to output the noise away from the station and houses
