BTW, considering the show started in September of 1972, does anyone know how we're in season 40 in 2011?

I figured it out. It is the 40th season, but it hasn't been 40 years.
Anyway, the show started out grand today, but kinda went south as the day progressed. The first game was Race Game for FOUR new cars, all of which were won! They totaled over $72K! I was kinda sad that she didn't make it into the showcase, as I really wanted to see her win. What I didn't like was 3 Strikes for the Porche. Ever since they reverted back to using all 3 strike chips it's hardly ever won anymore, and today was no exception. The showcases were okay, but for a 40th year special you'd think they'd have offered better things. The most expensive one was over $50K. The woman who won the cars won more than the showcase contestant did.
But all in all, it was an okay show. Hopefully this year we can have a perfect show!

Once again, I slept through it... It comes on at 9 AM MST/PDT, and I didn't wake up until 11:30 AM.
