A new accident occoured the other day at the Business 121 crossing http://www.rxrsignals.net/Texas/G-P/Lewisville/121/in Lewisville TX. A vehicle traveling southound (towards the camera in the picture below) noticed the signals were activating and attempted to stop. That vehicle was rear-ended by a second vehicle, pushing it onto the tracks where it was hit by a northbound DCTA train.



Southbound traffic encounters the Railroad Street traffic signal right at the crossing. I am wondering if it was red or green at the time of the accident. Hopefully it was red, as that would make sense.

A bit unique... A chain reaction causing an accident. I'm sure chain reactions are a bit more common than expected. I also certainly hope the traffic lights are pre-empted by the signals, as having the light staying green is just plain hogwash.
