Looks as though the gate that was stuck down was hit. Check out the gate lights:

Now, whether or not the reason it is down was because it was hit... or if it got hit BECAUSE it was stuck down, remains a mystery!

Whats weird is its a fiberglass gate on a cast break-a-way adapter. Never seen a gate survive a hit hard enough to knock gate lights off and still stay attached to the adapter, unless the gate lights were not properly secured to the gate in the first place.

Well also don't forget, this isn't the prettiest area of Chicago. Though it might seem like a wild idea I don't think it's so far-fetched to think that someone tried to take the lights off of the gate to try to fell them but then didn't take them off all the way. Weird stuff happens in South Side. haha.
