Weird, unusual Crossing

I was browsing around my crossing area to check out any crossings I'm thinking of taking some pictures to put on this site and I come across a weird looking signal just southwest of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

If it wasn't for that one weird signal on the eastern side of the crossing, I would think the western side had something to do with the road intersection next to the crossing

That's a neat line. There's quite a few gateless crossings with 8" lights South of that crossing... including
this one that also has a white cat's eye crossbuck!

That crossing you mention is actually on my list to take photos of.
(I got a big list)

Those lights appear to be traffic light sections. Wonder if the municipality installed those signals?

Those lights actually appear to be like the ones in my avatar and the ones seen at
http://www.rxrsignals.net/Phpbb3/viewto ... =13&t=1976 but are colored green instead of black

I'm not sure what they do, some day if I get a chance to, whenever a train is heading towards the crossing, I will try to get to this crossing before the train does and film it to see what it exactly does

Wow... that almost looks like something homemade. Has to be for the tracks since it is on both sides. Good find! Look forward to more info on this one...

Very good point... just not sure why the chose to set them up like that with only 1 light each on the mast and cantilever.

The roads might have been in different back then, the extra lamp on the mast also might have been added when the wigwag was removed.
