Old messed up crossings owned by the city of Charlotte NC

It is actually owned by the city itself, not any railroad. Though, I used to live in Charlotte though, so know more in depth of this xing and it previous owner. Well anyways, heres the link below.

I could have sworn that crossing was posted in the Tracks Out of Service thread, but I don't really remember

but I'd assume the signals are still in place because the city owns them, and not the railroad itself

You are correct. The city does own them, and that is because there will be a future electric train line running through that crossing.
