I do. It's because the approach of the crossing is going up a hill

I agree. They wanted it to stand out when you come around the corner at the bottom of that hill. A normal size one would blend in with the background I'm sure.

Well, the image is from 2013 so it's either been fixed or replaced at this point I'm sure.

I think that that crossbuck might have fallen over since it was leaning in 2013
