I've noticed that it seems that all Wig-Wags on public grade crossing are known about within the railroad crossing community. But I've been thinking lately. Is it possible that there could be Wig-Wags on public railroad crossings that no many if not no railfan knows about?

It is possible (kind of like semaphores), but due to just how rare wigwags are, as soon as someone finds one it goes viral.
None have been found lately, IIRC though.

Do you know of any rumored Wigwags in the U.S still in service? I remember that a long time ago there were some rumored wigwags, I can't remember if they were confirmed to be true or not.

Don't think so.

As far as any unknown, I would agree if one is found it would most certainly be talked about.

Have you all seen this? It's several years old now, and quite a few of one's mentioned the crossing is closed or the wag replaced with regular signals... but it's still fun to search through:

That map could stand to be updated and changed.
