Rare, serious, now-fatal accident in Houston

Its an accident you don't see every day. 2 Fire trucks were rolling to a call when they crashed and collided. The effects are a bit grim, and also a bit outlandish.

Also, it turns out the call that came in was a rip-off, there was no fire, just smoke from a sewer system.

As much as I feel sorry for those who were injured, I couldn't help laughing a little when reading the story, as it isn't something you hear of very often.

The news said there was a device that changes the traffic lights in the trucks.

Yep...but those Opticom systems work on a first-come, first-serve basis and won't violate any operating rules of the signals. So somebody there violated a red signal.
