New NEG LED gate lights

Post by freebrickproductions »

It appears that NEG has come up with a new design for their LED gate lights recently, however, their design appears to be a copy of RECO's gate lights.
Compairing the RECO gate light I have with NEG's gate light, the only major differences I see are that the plugs (or are they sockets?) on the sides of the lights are lower on the NEG ones than on the RECO ones and that the NEG ones say NEG on them.

Here's a few photos of my RECO gate light for comparison. This one's incandescent, but the LED RECOs don't seem to have changed at all (other than the obvious difference that the LED ones are LED, of course).

I think I may have spotted these in Huron, OH. I'll have to go back and confirm for sure, but if these are indeed NEG branded, then they have some sort of fade. It still mostly abruptly turns on and off as compared to the incandescent gates lights on the other side, but still appear to have a little tapering off at the end, unlike most RECO LEDs that I see.
