Got another video of this old crossing. Nothing here has changed much since I last recorded it.

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.

Is it just me, or does the bell sound slightly different now?

One of the nice things about all the videos being on one page like this, is that you can play them at the same time. While the tone is the same, you can pick out that there is a ring-rate difference by playing them both at the same time. Not sure which video is faster or slower though.

Still no changes at the crossing, and it also wound-up being the last crossing I recorded in 2017!

Fortunately still no changes as of 9-15-18!

And a close-up of the 8 inch lights on one of the signals:

*originally recorded on 3-13-19*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

The only thing that's changed here since I last recorded this crossing is that the gate arm and gate lights on the near signal were replaced, and the gate lights on the closer signal are now from NEG. Other than that, no changes here, which is especially nice since this is the last fully 8 inch crossing along the NS Memphis District East End. Also, something interesting that I noticed is that the far signal uses all aluminum backgrounds on the lights (which are starting to look a bit faded), while the closer signal uses plastic backgrounds. The visors are all aluminum.
