While waiting for I028, we heard that CSX had an I026 coming north, so we went down to this crossing for I026. On the way, we saw L692 working the N&D Branch, and I thought about trying for them at Elm Street #1, but I wasn't sure if they'd finish their work before I026 got close. Turns-out they did, indeed, finish their work before I026 got close, and we wound-up getting this CSX L692 at this crossing with a GP40-2 for power.
Even though I wish I'd gotten this train at Elm Street, I will admit, I'm kinda glad I was finally able to get a train on something other than the main track here.

Well, as you can see, CSX has very recently replaced the bell-less signal here with a newer one. The signal doesn't seem to be brand new, or at least the lights on it certainly aren't, as the light-heads on them are the slightly older WCH design that was made up until about the mid-2010s and was used on CSX installs in the early to mid-2010s. Not entirely sure if this signal wound-up being reused from somewhere else, or if it'd been kept in the signal dump down in Oakworth Yard as a spare for the past several years.
Either way, the old L&N signal on the far side has thankfully remained unchanged and still has its GS Type 1 e-bell that CSX installed back in the late-90s. It's also interesting how short the track circuit for this crossing is on the north side of it on the N&D Branch. There was barely any time between the activation of the crossing and the train reaching it.
