Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs and a General Signals Type-2 e-bell.

With this video, I have recorded every crossing in downtown Athens, though I still need to rerecord South Street in 1080p.
I believe that this is the only crossing in Athens with a General Signals Type-2 e-bell.

*originally recorded on 8-5-23*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs.
Signal on the right: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 1 Safetran 12x24 inch light with a Leotek EV Series LED, and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.

After I caught M647 in Piney Chapel, I continued back south to downtown Athens to see about getting the upgrade here recorded at long last. After several more hours of nothing, thanks to CSX not running anything due to the heat, my seventh and final train of the day finally came through: CSX I025 slowing to meet a CSX I140 at Athens Siding with an ES44AH pulling on the head-end and an AC44CW working as the mid-train DPU. Not too often you see an I025 (or I026, for that matter) with just two locomotives on it...

As you can see, since I last filmed this crossing, CSX has replaced the LED in the front-left light of the closer signal with a Leotek EV Series LED. Thankfully, no other major changes appear to have occurred at this crossing, and it still retains its older pair of gateless signals.
