Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type-2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
I find it neat that the bells here ring as the gates rise.

After catching the eastbound mixed freight, Ethan and I continued our way west, documenting the remaining crossings on the NS East End District. As we finished-up, we noticed Amtrak was on its way so I decided to set-up here to get it. After about an hour of waiting, our last train for the month would come through: the Amtrak 20 (the northbound Crescent) with a P42DC leading a P40DC for power. After this, we got some dinner and drove back-up to Huntsville for the night.
Certainly been quite a while since I last recorded this crossing, hasn't it? Decided to set-up here instead of at Moore Street (despite the latter still retaining a Safetran mechanical bell) because since my last video here, NS has replaced both bells here, I'm guess because both died. The first was the remaining Safetran mechanical bell, which was gone by 2018. However, kinda surprising to me, was that the GS Type 2 that was on the far signal here also also replaced with a GS Type 3, though this appears to have happened sometime after 2018. Kinda surprising though, IMHO, as as GS Type 2 here wasn't too old, having been installed to replace the original Safetran mechanical bell on that signal. Either way though, I'm glad to see this mid-90s NS install is still around and that the bells here still ring as the gates rise.
