Nice old photo

This crossing is in Springfield, IL along the UP/Amtrak line... the below photo is from I believe around 1970. I remember those signals with the shorter cantilevers, they were upgraded to more modern cantilevers in the middle 80's I believe.
I remember the old traffic signals as well. The little rectangular box above the traffic lights had a neon sign in it that said "Train" when the crossing signals were active. The traffic signals were also upgraded about the same time the crossing signals were. I can't remember for sure if the old traffic lights were also preempted by the crossing signals being active, but the ones that are there today are.
