As we can see, nothing major has changed at this crossing since I last recorded it in 2015, so this crossing still retains one of the few remaining Safetran Type 3s on the CSX S&NA North Sub. Really, the only changes here have been that the gate arms were replaced, and that the far signal now has NEG LED gate lights.

After seeing the autorack train come to a stop along Oakworth Yard, I decided to go on up here and wait for it. After a while of waiting, he eventually came on through.
Since I last recorded this crossing in 2018, the Safetran Type 3 e-bell that was here appears to have died and has since been replaced with a Safetran Type 2 (which I suspect is from Green Street in Athens). A bit of a shame that the Safetran Type 3 is now gone, especially since it was one of the last few on the S&NA North Sub.

After catching A23 in Decatur, I saw that CSX had an ethanol train heading north through Vine Street, so I decided to try and chase it north and catch it before Madison County tested. I wound-up going up to Athens, not thinking I'd be able to beat it to Tanner, though it turned-out that there was a southbound phosphate train going through that I sadly missed. As such, I decided to hop back down to this crossing and wait for the northbound, with it thankfully getting here in time for me to make it to Madison for the Madison County test. Here we get to see my third train of the day: CSX B620 with a CM44AC leading an SD70MAC for power.
I decided to head back here since I wanted to film some CSX signals of this age, and I hadn't filmed this crossing in a couple of years. Although I didn't notice it at the time, CSX had replaced the Safetran Type 2 e-bell here sometime after my last video here back in 2023 with the current NEG e-bell. Nothing else appears to have changed to this crossing.
