I thought there should be a topic that is like the Google Maps Scavenger Hunt topic but for traffic signals and signs. Here are some of my finds.

Temporary traffic signals. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.6499029 ... 6656?hl=en https://www.google.com/maps/@39.6512088 ... 6656?hl=en

The signals pointing toward the fire station are G-Y-R signals. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.2435171 ... 6656?hl=en

Vintage incandescent signals with the red section being the larger than the yellow and green section. https://www.google.com/maps/@41.3520483 ... 6656?hl=en

An old traffic Wig-Wag near Tooronga station in Melbourne with a vintage Pedestrian Crossing sign!

By 2013, they had replaced with a newer one, but reused the older pole.

Came across this intersection last night for the first time. The road is divided by a canal so there are 2 sets of lights. Originally both sets of lights were on span wire like this:

Apparently, that was causing some trouble, as the 2nd set of lights will change green when traffic turning from the opposite road gets a green arrow (so as not to congest the middle of this intersection).

Now, the 2nd set of lights have been removed from the span wire and placed on the pole. They put both lights heads next to each other, angled them a bit, and put visors in both the red and green lights so that they cannot be easily seen for traffic stopped at the first set of lights. Just thought this was an interesting solution.

12" worded pedestrians were actually somewhat common around Tampa before they replaced them all with countdown signals.
