Got a better recording of the crossing today:
Also, it's worth noting that the far signal on the right now has all RECO gate lights.

*originally recorded on 7-18-23*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the far right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
Signal on the near right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
After catching NS 287, I went east to Limrock and met-up with another local railfan. After a little bit of waiting, this NS 283 came rolling through with a BNSF ES44C4 leading a BNSF ES44DC and another BNSF ES44C4 for power.
Since I was last here, NS has gone through and replaced the NEG gate lights on the farther pair of signals with more RECO ones. For some reason, they ain't replaced the NEG gate lights on the closer signal or the diagonally-striped gate arms here, but I am glad to see those are all still around. Amusingly, the gate arm on the signal on the far right replaced a vertically-striped one a few years back.

After catching 286 just west of Woodville, I continued chasing it east towards Scottsboro, only to find that they were meeting a 287 at Midway. As such, I decided to turn around and try to get the 287 instead. After a bit of waiting, I was able to catch my fourth train of the day here: NS 287 with a pair of AC44C6Ms for power. The ditchlights on the lead locomotive seem to have been malfunctioning, given that they never stopped flashing. The crew also didn't seem to ever give the proper horn sequence for the crossings they approached either, just blowing two long notes for each crossing: one on approach and one as they crossed.
Sometime after I last recorded this crossing in 2023 and before the end of 2024, NS sadly went through and replaced all of the gate arms here with newer vertically-striped ones. At the same time, the closest signal here had its NEG gate lights replaced with a newer set of RECO incandescent gate lights, though the other two just had their gate lights remounted onto the new gate arms. Thankfully though, there have been no other changes to this crossing, and it still remains fully incandescent.
I should probably go and check to see if the remaining diagonally-striped gate arms out in Fackler and Hollywood are still there as well...
