Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 8 inch lights, a Modern Industries mechanical bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and malfunctioning RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 8 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
The crossing ended up malfunctioning after the train passed, so a word of warning to anyone who plans on railfanning here!
This crossing has some rather old signals that date back to the L&N-era of the line. It's also a bit odd since the crossing still has white DOT tags despite the fact that they were supposed to have all been replaced by sometime in 2015. I guess CSX is just dragging its feet when it comes to the remaining white ones.
Also, for some reason, the gate lights on the far signal don't flash.

Meant to post this a while back, but this almost-pure L&N install is still going strong, even with the white DOT tags still!
The only changes here are to the signal on the far side, which has had the gate lights fixed so that they flash, but the one on the tip is now broken.

Sorry for the unnecessary bump.
If you look at CSX 9048, you can notice a section of its YN2 paint scheme has vanished, It needs to be repainted!

*originally recorded on 12-4-23*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.
Signal on the right: 5 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, an NEG electronic bell, a Siemens gate mechanism, RECO LED gate lights, and an NEG LED gate light.
On December 4th, I got on up and got out to see about getting some upgraded crossings along the line rerecorded. I went over to Eastland Street in Gallatin for a train first. After a little while of waiting, I was able to get CSX I141 rolling south through the crossing with an ET44AH leading and an ES44AH working as the train's DPU.
As you can see, since I was last here, CSX has sadly replaced the pair of classic 70s L&N signals here with a pair of modern CSX ones, which I believe happened back in 2022 (EthantheRailfanner can correct me if I'm wrong). Interestingly, they chose to install a cantilever on this side of the crossing, I suspect for visibility purposes. Do miss the classic L&N signals here though, especially since they were still fully original.
