These are all over the place. They usually along lines that aren't very busy and/or at roads that don't see much traffic. At these, you're supposed to treat the crossbuck as a yield sign. Basically, you slow down and look both ways to see if a train is coming.

Something I have read has stated that all railroad crossings in the United States with no signals, just the crossbuck are supposed to get either yield signs or stop signs in addition to the crossbuck by the end of this decade unless a traffic guard at the crossing will stop traffic every time a train approaches.

Pretty cool seeing those "LOOK OUT FOR THE CARS" signs. I'm pretty sure they were only ever a thing in Florida.

Most of them already have. And if it's anything like how the replacement of the old white DOT tags has been on CSX and NS (which were supposed to all be replaced with blue ones back in 2015), a few stragglers will remain without either for years to come. It's a requirement in the MUTCD as well.

Correct.

Also, how about crossings without crossbucks, but have lights? I'm sure y'all know what I mean. :Tongue2:

LA Metro Gold Line has those on the original route: Union Station to Pasadena. But it is the exit guards out of the quad crossings.

I was talking about Downtown Tampa.

Here's a railroad crossing with just a crossbuck that's right next to one with lights and gates.

That's typical of spur lines that break off near a road.
