Of course I was serious, why wouldn't I have been? When you get further along in school, try writing a 1500-word essay that's due within 48 hours of being assigned. You'd probably complain about that being a strict deadline yourself.

I don't know why I didn't think you were serious. I didn't know how long these usually go for.

We usually give them at least a week for submissions.
