Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, 1 pair of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with WCH 2nd Generation LEDs, a General Signals Type 1 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED and incandescent gate lights.

This crossing has a pair of GS Type 1s at it, which was rather nice to find, especially since I didn't have any idea whether this crossing had Type 1s or Type 2s.

*originally recorded on 3-19-23*

After I caught the northbound grain train in Falkville, I decided to continue south to Cullman, as I still needed to get a new video of this crossing. On my way down, I saw that I was getting ahead of CSX M647 in Vinemont, so I quickly set-up at this crossing to record it. Here we see M647 again, still with its same pair of AC44CWs.

As you can see, not too much has changed to this crossing since I last recorded it. However, the closer signal has sadly had its RECO incandescent gate light on the tip replaced with a RECO LED gate light. Surprisingly, this LED gate light appears to be reused, as it's quite faded. The far signal has also had its tip gate light replaced as well, though that one got an NEG LED gate light on it instead. A couple of the LEDs here in the overhead lights have also had the arrays fall into the lenses. Thankfully, both GS Type 1 e-bells are still here and still sound quite healthy.

No changes to the equipment here as of 9-2-24. In fact, the only change I noticed here was the installation of new (but at the time, covered-up) No Train Horn signage for the coming quiet zone.

Per the Cullman Tribune, this crossing became part of a quiet zone on September 16th, meaning this was the last video I got of this crossing when trains still blew their horns for it:

No major changes to the equipment here as of 3-11-25, though the crossing is indeed now a quiet zone:
