Without looking on Google Maps and/or Street View, see if you can guess which town I was in today just by this picture!

HINT: It's been called a town with some of the worst signal installs on this site in the past.

Ashland, Virginia.

That is Ashland, Virgina. Not sure how you could check Google Maps if you don't know where it is. There is actually a live camera there now interestingly enough. Pretty cool that you went there!

Its not my fault that the place is too easy to recognize because the fact that there is a railcam owned by Virtual Railfan.

I was a fan of Ashland, Virgina before it went mainstream!

Yep, it's Ashland! Interestingly I was approaching the crossing and there was a CSX train headed south on one track and then an Amtrak train immediately after on the other.

The CSX RF&P Sub, a very busy line that requires cab signals, so good luck getting anything good leading there. Did you get any photos of the crossings?

No, it was just a drive-by. I was with family and all I did was stuck my phone camera out the window.

I could tell just by the crossing signal alone. Scary...
