I think I've posted that crossing before in Google Maps Scavenger Hunt but for the white and orange stripes on the bottom of the crossbuck post.

Interesting... if you go back to 2011, that side of the crossing looks a bit different. Kind of odd that the only upgraded one side, especially with the pole partially blocking the other mast signal: https://www.google.com/maps/@28.5640998 ... 312!8i6656

Let's go outside the US with this backwards crossbuck on the Weeroona Avenue level crossing in Bendigo, VIC.

The stupid part is that when the crossing was gateless in 2010, the same cantilever had the crossbuck installed correctly.

V/Line, you had one job! :LOL3:

If you compare both years... the cantilever got moved further away from the tracks (to make room for the gate mast). So it could be a different cantilever. Or... at the very least they took all the signs off of it, then re-installed them in the process of moving it. Just a guess though...

You could be onto something as I just noticed the SORS signs are different in both years.
2010: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-36.742 ... 312!8i6656
2015: https://www.google.com.au/maps/@-36.742 ... 312!8i6656

So it may be a different cantilever as they usually like to tear everything out nowdays when they upgrade a gateless crossing with gates. Here's another crossing in the area that shows this.

"Hey boss, I accidentally installed the crossbuck and yield sign on opposite sides of the pole, what should I do?"

"Just put it up with the yield sign facing traffic. It's Friday and I plan on being home and having a beer in 10 minutes and ain't nothin' gonna stop me now."
