I found this interesting photograph of a crossing on the Lartigue Monorail! This line was closed in 1924 due to damage to the line from the Irish Civil War. I wonder if there was a crossing operator that would raise the bridge when there is a train approaching or if the train would stop just before the crossing and a worker would get out and raise the bridge.
