This crossing really need somekind of update or something because this crossing is an accident waiting to happen.
Let's see, a busy 6-lane road + an active train line + next to a traffic light intersection + the crossing is gateless + Idiotic drivers...... If that's not a recipe for disaster, I don't know what is....
While filming this, there was multiple vehicles that ignored the crossing signal and have to stop for the red light which it forced the drivers to run the red light at this intersection, and even almost encountered an accident while filming (the car I zoomed in at around 1:56 in the video), and during the train horn, I did say "what the hell is wrong with these people" but more in likely the train horn drown out the sentence, so more likely you didn't hear my voice.
According to the FRA, they have been 35 accidents that happened at this crossing with 4 of those accidents being injury accidents, lucky there isn't any fatal accidents at this crossing.... yet.
Personally, I think the FRA, Canadian National, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation should do something with this crossing.
