*originally recorded on 10-13-18*

Signal on the left: 1 pair of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights and two pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights and a WCH mechanical bell.

This crossing has a pair of older NERR signals, from the 1990s, it appears, though the overhead lights on the far signal were replaced at some point. This was also the last crossing in Lebanon with a mechanical bell that I had yet to record, so I'm glad I've gotten it recorded.

It was getting close to time for the afternoon Stars to run, so I met-up with Elliot here briefly while waiting for the first afternoon Star to depart. As it got closer to time, Elliot made his way over to a different spot while I remained here to film this crossing. Eventually, the first afternoon Star train left with a pair of F40PH-3s for power.

As you can see, this crossing has seen quite the upgrade since I last filmed it. In 2019, during RJ Corman's first year of ownership of the NERR, the cantilever on the far side was replaced with the current one, I believe as a result of the old one being struck. At this same time, the closer signal had all of its lights replaced with the current WCH 12x24s. Then, in 2021, this crossing received what's probably its most famous piece of equipment: a high-pitched Safetran Type 3 e-bell! This was easily the main reason why I chose to re-record this crossing, as I hadn't recorded one of these bells in person before. Since then, no major changes have occurred to this crossing, thankfully.
For a few years, this was the only known high-pitched Safetran Type 3 in Tennessee, and was the closest one to me. However, as of the time of writing this, just a few days ago I discovered another one in Chattanooga, TN, (and technically closer to me) making there two known high-pitched Type 3s in Tennessee now. I should hopefully be able to get a video of that guy before too long.
