Signal on the left: 4 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a Safetran Hybrid bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and Alstom LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Safetran Fading LEDs, a Safetran Hybrid bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and Alstom LED gate lights.

This crossing is another one that I had wanted to get. Like most SACRT crossings in the midtown area, it features a pair of 1980s Safetran signals with the lights having been upgraded to LED at some point. However, for some reason, this crossing still retains a pair of Safetran Hybrid bells, which I believe are original to the signals! I'm willing to bet that most of the signalized crossings on the older parts of the SCART system has either these or standard Safetran mechanical bells at some point. However, this is the only crossing to still retain the mechanical bells in service. Either way, it was certainly nice getting to hear a pair of Hybrid bells again. Also, oddly enough, this is one of several crossings in the Sacramento area to use Hybrid bells. Also, due to the car and several other things being in my way, I propped-up the center of my tripod over a parking meter near the crossing for this video. Seems to have worked rather well.
