*originally recorded on 12-4-18*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Modern Industries 12x24 inch lights and a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell.

This crossing was another high-priority crossing, being the only other gateless crossing in Mt. Juliet and along the NERR Mainline between Lebanon and Nashville. It's also the only other completely incandescent crossing in Mt. Juliet, and is the next crossin east of the Private Crossing #2. According to Google Street View, the signals here were installed sometime between 2007 and 2009 (along with the ones at Private Crossing #2) and pretty much had all of the equipment here re-used from other crossings. The bell here was originally a black-painted mechanical bell (I believe it was either a Federal Signal or WCH bell, but it could've been a WRRS bell), but that was replaced sometime between 2009 and 2012 with a General Signals E-bell (most likely a Type 2). And then sometime between 2016 and 2018, the bell was then again replaced with the current GS Type 3 e-bell (not entirely sure why, though I suspect the bell had died). The house this crossing serves also almost appears to be abandoned, and I'm not entirely sure that the building's even lived in anymore. With one of the city's tornado sirens being right next to the house though (seen in the background on the left), I can imagine why no-one would want to live here.

This crossing is in a quiet zone. Trains cannot blow their horns at this crossing.
