*originally recorded on 12-28-18*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and 7 inch NEG LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights with Dialight Ball LEDs, a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and 7 inch NEG LED gate lights.

This crossing is another nice one along the NERR. While it's like most NERR mainline crossings between Lebanon and Nashville, including having had one of the bells replaced, it has one thing that makes it extra special: it's one of two crossings on the NERR to have all 7 inch gate lights at it still! In fact, this crossing practically hasn't had any changes at it, outside of the one bell being replaced and the gate lights getting an LED upgrade at some point. And with how rare 7 inch gate lights seem to be these days, I'm quite glad to have been able to record two different crossings that still had full sets of them on the NERR. If you were to ask me personally, I'd have to say I prefer 7 inch gate lights over any other style, though lantern gate lights come in at a close second. Certainly a shame that both are so rare these days. These signals also appear to have directly replaced a pair of crossbucks, as one of the bases for the crossbuck pole can be seen near the far signal.

In fact, just out of curiosity, what style of gate light do y'all prefer? I've already mentioned my favorite above.
