Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Electro-tech LEDs.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Electro-tech LEDs and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.

After catching the EARY in downtown Sylacauga, I chased them north to this crossing just south of Sycamore. This crossing appears to have been installed by the Seaboard System back in the 1980s, though the original mechanical bell had been replaced by the first time Street View came through in 2009. However, between 2009 and 2014, it appears that this crossing got an LED upgrade, and hasn't changed much since. For many years, this was the only crossing on the EARY without a mechanical bell, but sadly, that is no longer the case as of recently. It's kinda hard to tell whether this should be considered as being near Sycamore or near Sylacauga, but, IMHO, it does appear to be closer to Sycamore than Sylacauga, so I'm considering it to be "near Sycamore". This was the last crossing I had yet to record on the EARY, though I still need to rerecord the crossings in Talladega, it appears.

Southbound signal: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Electro-tech LEDs.
Northbound signal: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Electro-tech LEDs, 1 Safetran 12x24 inch light with a GE Dotted LED, and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.

After catching the EARY in downtown Sylacauga, I chased them north to this crossing outside of Sycamore. Thankfully, these older gateless signals are still here, but since I was last here, the EARY had replaced the Electro-tech LEDs in the right-hand rear light on the closer signal with a GE Dotted LED. Otherwise, nothing has changed to these signals since I last recorded them.

As I chased the EARY back south from Talladega, I decided to set-up at this crossing again and record the north side of it in action, as I hadn't filmed this side yet and the lighting here would allow for it. You can see the new GE Dotted LED on the far signal in this video as well.
