Truck hits a stopped train in Baton Rouge, LA

Apperently, this driver was not paying attention on what's ahead of him, especially that a train is already stopped on the tracks at 2:00 A.M. with signal lights on and everything.

This is interesting, appears to be the remains of an old Cantilever and a 4 inch mast signal:

Wonder if the crossing was originally gated, based on the size of the foundations?

I have no doubt that this crossing will be gated in the future...
