Is GEVO any relation to the 80's bozo music group Devo?

Crack that Whip......

K5HL is the only acceptable one of the 5; all the others sound off tune.

The first one is one of the best horns I've ever heard! :TUP1:

It has a low, rich D minor note that I can't get enough of!

But, I still can't figure out
WHY THE :Censored: THEY ARE MOUNTED BACKWARDS, WITH ONLY 1 BELL FACING FORWARD!

On the upside, it does make for some unusual effects; it gets louder as it begins to recede from you!

I've found out some unusual facts about the different GEVO horns.

What Tommy calls K5HLLs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F66uLsuvo1c

are the exactly tuned K5HLs, using the 1, 1L, 2, 3, & 4 bells, and sounding a D minor chord.

This one, which is my favorite type of GEVO horn:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jUO9q3xyD8o

is actually a K5[H]L/K5[L]LA hybrid,
using the 1, 1L, 2, 3, & 4A bells, and sounding halfway between D minor & B major.

This is why it sounds so similar to this K5[L]/K5[L]A hybrid on Amtrak:
