*originally recorded on 3-18-19*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a General Signals Type 3 electronic bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 4 pairs of WCH 12x24 inch lights with GE Uniform Look LEDs, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a WCH gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.

After we saw the TSRR switching, we went and documented the crossings I needed to document around Mt. Pleasant (and I had thought that was all of them, until I discovered three on a branch line I still need to document). After that, we went back by the yard and saw them leaving, so we went over to this crossing to catch this nice long propane train that the TSRR ran. Never knew that the TSRR ran propane trains, but I guess it happens on occasion.

This was the last TSRR crossing we recorded on Monday. It previously had a pair gateless of TSRR signals installed around the same time as Bluegrass Avenue in Mt. Pleasant (so late 1980s/early 1990s) with Modern Industries 12x20 inch lights and a WCH mechanical bell. However, likely around the same time that James Campbell Boulevard was upgraded, the TSRR upgraded this crossing to have gates, replacing the mast signal on the far side but re-using the cantilever on this side of the crossing. As a result, the right-hand signal has three crossbucks on it, all facing the same direction. And I agree, it does look a bit weird. Also, for some strange reason, the gate lights aren't evenly spaced, with the middle one being closer to the tip one than the one closest to the signal on both signals. I'm not entirely sure why this was done, TBH. This is also one of only two crossings on the TSRR to feature WCH gate mechs, believe it or not!
