Swainsboro, GA - HOG Railroad

Anyone know what the running status is of the HOG around Swainsboro, Georgia currently?
I was surprised to see the gates at the US 80 (E. Main) crossing are tied up on the last Street View update in December 2018, which has me thinking this is out of service. However, G&W's website doesn't look to indicate this is true. IIRC, former members Owens and Elton have been through here in the past, and I think Elton may have done work on this line as a maintainer. It strikes me as odd, though... because if you go South, you can see all the work done on the line recently to rebuild trackage between Vidalia and Swainsboro.

Honestly not sure, though I wouldn't be too surprised if a section of the line went out of service sometime within the past few years. IIRC, there is an inland intermodal terminal along the line, so at least that part of the line is most likely still in use, but I believe the HOG's engines have been spotted elsewhere on the G&W system more recently, so I wouldn't be too surprised to find out that much of the line is now dead. I'll probably ask in the Georgia Central Facebook group I'm in about the Heart of Georgia, considering the two are "sister railroads", and Elton's also in said group. Believe Owens is up in South Carolina now as well.

Also, the G&W's website doesn't seem to be that great for finding out how much of a line is still in service. For example, the G&W shows the entire Apalachicola Northern Railroad (technically now the AN Railway, though the G&W still uses the Apalachicola Northern wording in the railroad's logo), possibly with an implication of being in service, on their website, though I can tell you for a fact that the entire section of the line from Hosford (just north of Telogia) south hasn't seen a train along this part of the line in years, if not a full decade or more now (one of the buildings in the abandoned-ish shops in Port St. Joe have a calendar from 2006 hanging on one of the walls still, or at least they did when I visited last summer). Though it does appear that there had been some work done to clear the line at least as far as the tiny community of Franklin (just NW of Apalachicola), as well as upgrading all of the crossings around Hosford and Telogia to LED, so they might've looked at reopening the line to Port St. Joe at one point.

Got around to asking about it on Facebook. Turns out this line is (or was) owned by Pioneer's Georgia Southern Railroad, and has been for 8 years now. Will find out more information when I can.
