Range Street #2, Dothan, AL

*originally recorded on 7-28-19*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 1.5 pairs of Safetran 8 inch lights, 1 WRRS 8 inch light, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
This was the last crossing I caught A724 at before they reached the Dothan Yard, however, it wouldn't be the end of my chase for the day, not for a while yet, anyways
This crossing is another very nice one, as you can see. I'm not entirely sure who installed these signals, especially the one on the right, though I suspect the SCL did in the early 70s. Not entirely sure how the signal on the right wound-up using a WRRS base and a WRRS light, as, other than the gate lights, literally everything else here is Safetran.
However, both Safetran bells here sound very healthy and both signals look quite nice, so I ain't complaining, even if the equipment mix is a bit unusual. The right-hand signal also has some incandescent gate lights, which is quite nice to see. According to Google Street View, the far signal also used to have a set of Safetran gate lights, but sometime between then and 2018, the gate arm and gate lights over there were sadly replaced.
