*originally recorded on 7-30-19*

Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a GRS gate mechanism, and Dialight gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a GRS gate mechanism, and Dialight gate lights.

This was the fourth crossing I recorded the BAYL at. Like Selma Street, this crossing also features a pair of old SOU signals from the 1970s at it, though these are some cantilever signals (which lack any mast lights, interestingly enough). The lights are also some older Safetran 12 inch lights that are original to the crossing, which is rather nice to see.
Another interesting thing about the crossing is that both signals feature boxes on them, which would've originally had small outdoor webcams mounted to them. The right-hand one still remains rather intact, though the other one has lost the equipment on the bottom of it, with just the wires hanging out from the bottom of the box. It appears that these were part of a program that the State of Alabama was trailing in the early 2000s, that was never really successful, and these are likely the last remaining examples of it in the entire state. A bit more information on them can be found here:

The crossing also did a tail-ring malfunction after the train passed, as you can see in the video.
