Signal on the left: 1 pair of WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs, 2 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights, and a Safetran Type 2 electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of WRRS 8 inch lights and an NEG electronic bell.
This was the eighth crossing I caught A724 at, along with being the first one in Alabama on this chase. This crossing features a nice pair of mostly-original gateless early SCL cantilevers, similar to Jester Street in Cowarts. In fact, like Jester Street, both of the original mechanical bells here were replaced in the mid-2000s with Safetran Type 2 e-bells. However, unlike Jester Street, at some point within the past few years (likely the past year or so, if I had to guess), the pair of mast lights on the far cantilever were upgraded to WCH 12x24 inch lights with Leotek EV Series LEDs. Also, sometime within the past few years, the e-bell on the right-hand cantilever died and was replaced with the current NEG e-bell.
Still nice to see these classic signals in service though, especially since they're still mostly 8 inch. The driver of a red pickup can also be seen ignoring the signals, getting very close to the train in the process. Clearly his missed the part of Drivers Ed where they handed out brains.
