Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Low Wattage LEDs.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights with Dialight Low Wattage LEDs and a Safetran Type 3 e-bell.
After catching the local freight at Pine Hill Road, I chased it on down near Boyles Yard, where I decided to set-up at the second-southernmost crossing on the line. However, a little bit before the local rolled through, ABC Coke's EMD SW1500, appropriately numbered ABCX 1500, pulled into the crossing while switching some coke cars around, allowing me to catch a meet on video! In all honesty, this was probably my best catch of the day.
This crossing is a pretty nice one, and is easily one of the better ones on this branch by virtue of it literally being the only crossing not to feature any Leotek EV Series LEDs. It also has the only Safetran Type 3 e-bell along the line.
The signals have also had a bit of an interesting history. It appears that originally, this crossing had a pair of Transport Products Corp. signals from the L&N (which may or may-not have had a few upgrades to them over the years). But in the 1990s, the right-hand signal was replaced entirely (save for the bell, which appears to have been re-used), followed by the far signal having its lights upgraded in the early-2000s. Then, sometime between 2008 and 2011, the mechanical bell that was here was replaced with the current Safetran Type 3 e-bell. Finally, between 2015 and 2017, the lights at this crossing were upgraded to LED, with no changes since then.
