New crossing, new town.

When I was driving back from Ottawa, I took side streets home instead of taking the highway so that I could stop at Eola yard. On the way, I crossed the Illinois Railnet tracks and stumbled upon this really weird pedestrian crossing.

makes sense because of the curve in the sidewalk.

Doesn't look like a lot of planning or forethought went into that arrangement...

I have to agree... that could have been planned out much better to make it mix in better with the rest of the area. Those signals, especially the closes once stand out like sore thumbs!

Look's alot like Conrail's garbage they are installing around here...with the super tall poles...
