I wonder where this is at. It certainly isn't in the US for sure.

The 8" lights and mechanical bell were nice, but taking 13 seconds for the gates to begin to lower is way too long.

Yes, I believe that is in Australia.

I'm assuming the long delay before the gates close is for anybody left in the crossing area to safely exit.

In regards to Elton's comments... of course it shouldn't be necessary. If people would just use common sense it wouldn't be. But that is where the problem lies. People are too busy yapping on their cell phones or listening to their I-pods, or just off in a daydream somewhere. They are protecting people from themselves.

That's true. One crossing that I was wanting to get to in Holbrook, AZ has 21 accidents, and more than half of them were pedestrians. I believe the death toll out there is 12, one of the highest from a crossing that I know of.

I know, combining a WCH/WRRS Mechanical Bell with a Yodalarm makes my ears bleed as well.
