After catching NS A45 in Sylacauga, I went back up to the Rome Line to finish documenting crossings along there. After missing A84 in Columbiana (due to it sneaking up on me), I continued documenting the rest of the crossings along the line. When I got to Winton, I saw this mixed freight sitting on the NS 3B District waiting for permission to head north. After documenting a few crossings, I was on my way to the next one north when I heard them get permission to head north. As such I quickly documented that one before heading back down to this crossing, where I caught him rolling north with two Dash-9s leading an ES44DC, which was certainly quite a nice lash-up to end my day off on. With this train as well, I've officially recorded at least one train on every NS mainline in Alabama!
This crossing's another pretty decent one. These signals were installed in about 2014/2015, replacing a pair of crossbucks, one of which is still standing by the far signal. Doesn't appear that any major changes have occured here since the signals were installed, but the closer one appears to have had its gate lights upgraded to LED between 2015 and 2016. The signals here are also more of those tall masts NS loves to install occasionally, for some reason, and the right-hand signal also has a crooked crossbuck.
