Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a Safetran mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.

After catching NS 23D, I knew Amtrak 19 was coming, so I continued on west to the third and final crossing in Eastaboga. Only a few minutes after setting up, AMTK 19 came through the crossing with a pair of P42DCs for power.

This crossing is another great one, being pretty much a pure mid-1990s NS install! In fact, the only changes here that I've observed were that the gate arms and emergency information were both replaced at some point, but other than that, this crossing is still pretty much the same as the day it was installed! What's especially great about this crossing though, at least IMHO, is the fact that it still features a pair of Safetran mechanical bells. Sadly, the guy on the far side sounds like he might be getting a bit rough, but I'm glad I got to record this crossing still.
Also, as a side note, I love how all of the crossings in Eastaboga still use mechanical bells.

After shooting 394, we continued west to this crossing on the other side of Eastaboga. After a little bit of waiting, we were able to get our third train of the day: Amtrak 19 with an ALC-42 leading a P42DC for power.

This crossing is another one that I hadn't been to since 2020, and is also one that has seen some upgrades to it since then. Both of the original Safetran mechanical bells here were sadly replaced, though admittedly they did sound a bit flat when I filmed them, and the gate lights here were all upgraded to LED. Definitely glad I got this guy back in 2020 when it still had its original bells though, and this means that, like the Memphis East, the NS East End District now only retains one crossing with a working pair of mechanical bells.
