*originally recorded on 4-2-20*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and NEG gate lights.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights, a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO gate lights.
After catching the coal train in Bon Air, I came on back up into Childersburg to catch them shoving up the connector track. After a little while of waiting, they came crawling on through with the AC44C6M "leading" the way.
This crossing is another pretty alright one, featuring the oldest crossing signals in Childersburg (believe it or not!). The signals here appear to have been installed by NS in the early 2000s, and, as far as I can tell, haven't seen any major changes since they were installed. The bell on the far side is looking rather faded though.
However, with this crossing, I have now recorded every signalized crossing in Childersburg!
