My friend and me were fortunate to catch the CSX switching around the yard. Yes, the bell is a Safetran type 2 E-bell. Yes, it sounds just like a GS E-bell. It is extremely quiet though, if you stand right next to it you can hear it, but if you are on the other side of the tracks you can't. I also like how they put the lights right where you can't see them until the last second...

Yea, can't you see the gate coming out of the telephone pole.

perhaps now they are equipping telephone poles now with crossing gates, eliminating everything else. Wow WHAT an IDEA!
