*originally recorded on 7-2-20*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs, a WCH mechanical bell, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
Signal on the right: 3 pairs of Harmon 12x24 inch lights with Harmon Dotted LEDs, a Safetran gate mechanism, and RECO LED gate lights.
This was the final crossing we caught L781 at before they reached downtown Vidalia. After this, they'd swap trains with L782 and tie down for the evening crew to take them back up to Macon. This was also the last time we'd catch L781 on this trip. We also met-up with Blane again here, and it was nice to see him again.
This crossing is another nice one, with what appears to be another GC install from the late 90s/early 2000s, though the original General Signals e-bell here was replaced with the current WCH mechanical bell sometime between 2008 and 2014. The bell here does still ring while the gates are down though, which is also quite nice to see. Nothing really too much else to say about this crossing, other than the fact I'm glad I got to record it.
