*originally recorded on 11-11-20*
Signal on the left: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x20 inch lights and a General Signals Type 2 electronic bell.
Signal on the right: 2 pairs of Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
This was the fourth crossing I chased NS 329 to. I was originally gonna try for Parish next, but I decided to see if I could beat 329 to this crossing on the way, and sure enough, it was possible.
The signals here are more older gateless signals from the Southern Railway, which are nice to see. It appears that these would've been installed in the 1970s, but in the 1980s (or somewhere around there), the far signal had its lights upgraded to Safetran 12x24 inch lights.
I'm not sure if the near signal had the same treatment or not, as in the 2000s, NS replaced the lights on it with more Safetran 12x24 inch lights. Around this same time, it appears the bell here was replaced with the current GS Type 2.
Then, sometime between 2008 and 2014, the far signal one again had its lights upgraded, this time to the current Safetran 12x20 inch lights. Since then, no major changes appear to have occurred here.
